What is CYF? CYF is a vibrant spiritual community of young adults, rooted in UU principles and values, available online to serve the needs of its members as a place of reflection, learning, interaction and service. There are many challenges in the lives of young adults including:
- Moving away from home for the first time
- Starting an education, career or family
- Managing new financial responsibilities
- Frequent transitions for school or work
- Searching for a partner and a spiritual home
CYF Mission To foster, build and support an inclusive international faith community through Unitarian Universalist Principles, which strives to meet the spiritual and social needs of the larger young adult movement and to ensure accountability to and representation of its members. CYF Roots The CYF launched its online worship space and spiritual community in June of 2005 and opened its doors to members at GA 2005 Fort Worth. We have now grown to over 400 members world-wide, collected dozens of religious resources including audio and video services, and offer small group ministries. The CYF is lead by the volunteer efforts of the member-run Steering Committee with the generous support of adult allies, clergy and the CLF staff. Congregational Life Members enjoy a wealth of resources and opportunities to explore spirituality, build relationships with other religious seekers, and connect with the larger Unitarian Universalist faith.
